Why isn't my trade copying?
Why a trade did not copy: the chain to walk from connection to account to leader, two causes people miss, and one thing that is not a gate.

Your leader traded and a follower sat still. Copying happens only when a short chain of conditions is all true at once, so a single one being off is almost always the answer. Walk the chain top to bottom for the account that didn't trade and you'll find the break.
There is no single “copying off” switch
OmenSyncer has no master replication toggle. Copying runs whenever a handful of smaller controls line up, and each one can halt it on its own. Turning any of the first few off can stop everything at once, which is why it can feel like a global switch was thrown. The walkthrough below checks each in turn.

Walk the chain
Every one of these has to hold for a follower to copy a leader fill. They are checked live on each fill, so start at the top and stop at the first one that is off.
- Is the engine running? OmenSyncer can only copy a fill it sees stream in live. On the desktop app that means your PC is on and the app is open. On Cloud the engine runs 24/7, so this is never the problem there. A fill that happened while it was off is gone: see Followers missed trades while offline.
- Is a leader set and on? Copies need an account driving them. If no global leader is set, or the leader's account or connection is off, the dashboard shows a yellow No leader account set or Leader account is offline banner. Pick or re-enable a leader from there.
- Is the follower active? Each account has its own on/off toggle. A follower that is switched off (shown as Disabled) never copies. A red Locked pill means a timed lockout or a risk breach is holding it: see Risk rules & lockouts.
- Is the connection on and connected? The follower's broker connection has its own switch on the Connections tab, and it needs to show connected, not down or reconnecting. A connection that is off trades none of its accounts. Your plan also caps how many connections can be active at once, so turning one on may ask you to turn another off. See How connections work.
- Is the subscription active? Copying requires a current OmenSyncer plan on the account's owner. If the plan lapsed or a payment failed, that account stops copying until it is back. See Plans & billing.
- Is it routed to the leader that traded? An ungrouped follower copies the global leader. A follower inside a group copies only that group's leader, so it ignores a global-leader fill, and vice versa. Check the account is in the group you expect (or none), and that the group is active with its own leader set.
Two quieter causes
If the chain checks out, two things can skip a single follower on a given trade without stopping it in general:
- A risk limit tripped. When a follower's own daily loss limit or profit target is hit, OmenSyncer stops copying to it for the rest of the trading day. If you expected a stop and didn't get one, or the reverse, see Risk rules & lockouts.
- No cross-broker mapping. If a follower is on a different broker than the leader and there is no symbol mapping for the contract that traded, that follower is skipped and you get an alert, rather than a wrong-symbol copy. See connection troubleshooting.
One thing that is not a gate
Repeated order failures on an account raise a Circuit breaker open alert, but that alert does not pause copying: OmenSyncer keeps trying that account. Treat a circuit alert as a signal to look at the account (a bad symbol, a size it can't hold, a broker rejecting orders), not as the reason it stopped. See Alerts.
