Running OmenSyncer: web, desktop & mobile

OmenSyncer runs in three places: in a web browser, as a desktop app on your own PC, and on your phone. They all sign in with the same account and show the same accounts and history. Which ones you use depends on your plan.

In your browser (web)

With a Cloud plan you can run OmenSyncer straight from a web browser. Sign in at omensyncer.com on any computer and you get the full trading dashboard, the same accounts, copying controls, journal, and risk rules, with nothing to download or install. There is no separate web app: go to omensyncer.com, sign in, and open the dashboard.

The browser dashboard is the complete product, not a cut-down viewer. From any modern browser you can:

• Watch every account copy in real time on the live dashboard.
• Turn followers on and off, set multipliers, and flatten or cancel positions.
• Review your order history and journal.
• Manage risk rules, groups, and settings.

Because a Cloud plan runs 24/7 on our servers, your copying keeps going even when the browser tab is closed and your computer is off. The web dashboard is a window onto that hosted engine, so you can sign in from any machine and see the same live state. Both Cloud tiers unlock it: Cloud covers up to 5 broker connections, Cloud Elite is unlimited.

The Desktop plan is different: it runs OmenSyncer locally through the installed app, so its trading dashboard lives in that app rather than a browser. Desktop customers can still sign in on the web to manage their account and download the installer, but the trading surfaces prompt you to open your desktop app instead.

The desktop app

The desktop app runs OmenSyncer on your own computer. It installs on Windows, macOS, and Linux and does all the copying locally, on your own internet connection. The one catch: copying only happens while the app is running.

Download and install

Sign in at omensyncer.com and open Downloads in your account. The page detects your operating system and puts the matching installer front and centre, with the other platforms listed below it.

• Windows: a standard 64-bit installer. It installs for your user only, so there's no admin password prompt.
• macOS: a disk image (.dmg) in two builds, Apple Silicon (M1 and later) and Intel. The page offers Apple Silicon by default and links Intel separately, since a browser can't tell which chip your Mac has.
• Linux: an AppImage (x64). Make it executable and run it.

Run the installer, open OmenSyncer, and sign in with the same account. Your accounts, groups, and settings are tied to your login, so they're all there the moment you sign in.

It runs on your machine

On the Desktop plan, the copy engine runs inside the app on your own computer. When you place a trade in your leader account, your machine fans the copies out to your followers. That's why the Desktop plan uses your own internet connection rather than our servers. When your computer sleeps and wakes, the app reconnects to your broker and resumes automatically.

Staying up to date

The app keeps itself current. It checks for a new version when it starts and every few hours while it's open, and every download is checksum-verified before it's installed. On Windows and Linux updates apply silently: a new version downloads in the background and installs the next time you close the app, so a live session is never interrupted. On macOS you get a prompt that opens the disk image to drag the new version into your Applications folder. You can also check yourself anytime from the app menu's Check for Updates option.

Any active plan can run the desktop app. On the Desktop plan it's where all your trading happens; Cloud customers can install it too, but since their copying already runs 24/7 on our servers, they usually work from the web or their phone instead.

On your phone

Two ways to put OmenSyncer on your phone: download the app from the App Store or Google Play, or add the web app to your home screen from your browser. Either way, sign in with your usual account and your connections, groups, and settings are already there, ready for you to watch your copying and flatten or cancel on the go. You can also just use OmenSyncer in any mobile browser without installing. The mobile app is part of the Cloud plans.

Download the app

1. iPhone and iPadOpen the App Store, search for OmenSyncer, and tap Get.
2. AndroidOpen Google Play, search for OmenSyncer, and tap Install.
3. Sign inOpen the app and sign in with your usual OmenSyncer account.

Or add it to your home screen

You can also install OmenSyncer straight from the browser. Do it from the dashboard at omensyncer.com/dashboard, not the marketing pages, so it opens full-screen with its own icon.

On iPhone and iPad, Safari uses its built-in flow:

1. Open omensyncer.com/dashboard in Safari and sign in.
2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of Safari.
3. Scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.

On Android (Chrome or Edge), tap Install on the OmenSyncer banner and confirm.

Push notifications

However you install it, OmenSyncer can send push notifications, so you hear about it the moment something needs you, a follower disconnecting, an order failing, or an account hitting a risk limit, even when it isn't open. The first time you open the installed app it asks to turn notifications on: tap Enable and allow the prompt. If you skip it, you can turn them on later in Settings, on the Notifications tab.

• Push is per device. Turn it on separately on each phone or tablet.
• On iPhone and iPad, push works from the installed app, the downloaded app or the home-screen version, not a plain Safari tab.
• Blocked notifications by mistake? Re-enable them in your phone's system settings for OmenSyncer, then reopen the app.
