How connections work
What a broker connection is, how one login can carry many accounts, how to switch one on or off, and how many can be active on your plan.

A connection is one login to a broker or prop firm. That single login can hold many trading accounts, and OmenSyncer copies through it.
What a connection is
To add a connection, you name it, pick the broker your accounts are held with, and sign in once. That sign-in is the connection. OmenSyncer uses it to reach the broker on your behalf, so you never place a copied trade by hand.
The name is only a label. You might call a connection Apex 50k or TopStep 100k, but underneath it is a single authorised login to one broker.
One connection, many accounts
Most prop firms put several trading accounts behind one login. When you connect, OmenSyncer pulls in every account that login can see, so one connection often lists many accounts.
A connection and an account are not the same thing.

Switching a connection on or off
Every connection has an on/off switch. Switch one off and it stops trading: none of its accounts copy, and they drop off your Dashboard, Risk, and Groups views. Switch it back on and the accounts return and resume copying.
How many can be active at once
Your plan caps how many connections run at once, not how many you set up. A switched-off connection doesn't count toward the cap. The connections screen shows your current count against it.

At your cap, switching on another connection is blocked until you switch one off or upgrade. Switching a connection off is always allowed.
