Best practices

None of these are required, but each one heads off a problem we see people run into. Set them up once and copying mostly looks after itself.

Before you go live

• Test with one follower first. Set a single follower at a 1× multiplier, place a small trade on your leader, and confirm it copies and closes as expected before adding the rest.
• Match multipliers to account size. Scale each follower so a copied trade is proportional to that account's balance and its prop firm limits, not just a blanket 1× everywhere.
• Leave margin headroom. Followers need enough buying power for the sizes you copy. Running an account near its limit is the most common cause of rejected orders.

Day to day

• Trade only in your leader. Placing manual trades directly in a follower puts it out of sync with the leader. Let the leader drive.
• Keep one copier running. Running OmenSyncer twice against the same accounts (for example desktop and cloud at once) can double your orders. Pick one.
• Use groups to separate strategies. If some accounts should follow a different account, put them in a group with its own leader rather than fighting the multipliers.
• Set risk limits. Per account loss limits and lockouts protect an account if a day goes wrong. See Risk rules & lockouts.

Staying online

On Desktop, copying only happens while OmenSyncer is running. That means your PC must stay on with the app open for the whole session. If you can't guarantee that, the Cloud plans run 24/7 on our servers instead.
