Followers & multipliers
Size each follower with a multiplier, a fixed contract count, or a mini to micro conversion, and give one its own take profit target.
Updated
Every follower decides its own size. You can scale it relative to the leader with a multiplier, or pin it to an exact number of contracts. Here's how each works and when to use it.
Multipliers
A follower's multiplier scales its size against the leader. It is a whole number from 1 to 100. Sizing is per account (there is no group-level multiplier), so each follower can be set to fit its own balance and prop firm limits.
| Multiplier | On a 2-contract leader trade | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 2 contracts | Copy the leader at the same size. |
| 2 | 4 contracts | A bigger account that should trade larger. |
| 5 | 10 contracts | A much larger account. |
Cross-order: mini and micro
With cross-order on, a follower trades the micro or mini counterpart of the leader's contract instead of the same one. If the leader trades ES, the follower trades MES. The swap is one for one by count (one leader contract becomes one contract of the counterpart), then your multiplier applies on top. A micro swap is a clean way to run a lighter version of the leader on a smaller account. Full detail in Cross-broker & cross-pair copying.
Fixed contracts
When you want an account to trade an exact size every time rather than scale off the leader, switch its sizing to the Fixed tab. Set how many contracts, and whether they're Mini or Micro.
| Multiplier mode | Fixed mode | |
|---|---|---|
| Size | Scales with the leader’s size | Exactly X contracts, every entry |
| Contract | Same as leader (or its cross) | Forced to Mini or Micro |
| Multiplier | Applied | Ignored |
| Cross-order | Optional | Ignored (size sets the contract) |
Fixed size means X contracts per leader entry: if the leader enters once for 3 contracts, a follower fixed at 10 micro trades 10 micros, not 30. Enter again and it adds another 10. Risk limits and lockouts still apply; a fixed size never bypasses your guardrails.
If there's no mini or micro version of the leader's contract, the follower keeps the leader's own contract at the count you set. To change or remove a fixed size later, reopen the same editor and switch back to Multiplier.
Follower take profit
By default a follower exits where the leader does. To have a follower bank a smaller, more consistent target while the leader runs to its full one, give it its own take profit on the Risk page. It's set per follower and only moves the take profit. The stop loss always stays at the leader's price.
| Mode | What it does | Example (leader targets +60pt) |
|---|---|---|
| Off | Exit with the leader (default). | Follower closes at +60pt too. |
| % of leader | A share of the leader’s target distance. | 50% closes the follower at +30pt. |
| Points | A fixed distance from your entry. | +30pt closes the follower at +30pt. |
| $ profit | Close when the position is up a set dollar amount. | $1,000 on 1 ES closes at +20pt. |
The % of leader and points modes don't care how many contracts you trade, so they sit cleanly on top of any multiplier or fixed size. The $ profit mode is the whole position's profit: OmenSyncer works out the price where you're up that amount, and adjusts it as more of the order fills so the number stays true.
A handful of contracts don't have a tick or dollar-per-point value on file yet. If you set a target on one, the follower shows a small warning and copies the leader's take profit instead; it never guesses a price. Pick a different unit, or leave it on Off, and the follower copies normally.
